Pete was the son of Clarence and Bertha (Pittman) Tolbert.

He was a retired employee of Gibson Chevrolet in Quaker City, where he was a loyal body shop employee for 31 years. He was a steadfast member and deacon of First Christian Church in Barnesville. He was a valiant U.S. Army veteran of WW II.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, George Tolbert in 1986, his sister, Mildred Wickham in 1985 and a nephew, Danny Tolbert in 1976.

His memory will be cherished by his wife Hilda (Gallagher) Tolbert; a brother, Harry "Bob" Tolbert; a sister, Mary Louise and her husband Emerson Cross; sister-in-law, Ellen (Kemp) Tolbert; several nieces and nephews.

Pete was a very loving, dedicated, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His family was always his first priority. He loved hunting and fishing.

He and Hilda never had children. So sad, they would have been wonderful parents.

Though your smile is gone forever,
and your hand we cannot touch,
we still have many memories
of the one we loved so much.
Your memory is our keepsake
with which we'll never part
God has you in his keeping,
we have you in our hearts

Sadly missed, but never forgotten.
