Billy Jerrell Franklin Son-in-law of Daniel and Sue Braden

Billy Jerrell Franklin, 66, of Woodstock, Ga., died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003.
A native of Jesup, Ga., he retired from Southeastern Ironworkers Local No. 387 as a supervisor after 40 years of service. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Franklin is survived by his wife, Dana B. Franklin, who was a longtime resident of Oak Ridge before moving to Georgia; his daughters, Lisa L. Cook and Kristi Wilson, both of Acworth, Ga., Dana M. Fossett of St. Simons Island, Ga., Pam A. Dunegan of Cartersville, Ga., and Renee Edmonston of Cameron, Ga.; and nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He is also survived by his brothers, Eugene Franklin and Leland Franklin, both of Jesup, and Richard Franklin of Acworth; his sisters, Grace Hunter, LaFaye Burkholder and Margie Rigdon, all of Jesup, and JoAnne Bennett of Screven, Ga.; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Daniel B. and Sue Braden, and a brother-in-law, Mike Thornton and his wife, Taynia, all of Oliver Springs.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Ga., with the Rev. Robbie Leech officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Kennewaw.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and again from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the funeral home.
