Lucille Sahlfeld, 89, Beloit, died Friday Sept. 30, 2005. Mrs. Sahlfeld was born Lucille Ochs on March 17, 1916, in Cawker City She was a farm wife and restaurant cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; a son, Ed; and infant son,Gregory Allen. Survivors include five sons, Bob and Stan, both of Beloit, Richard of Prairie
Village, Jerry of Salina and Steve of South Sioux City, Neb.; three daughters, Deanne Sirles of Glen Allen, Va., Barbara Deines of WaKeeney and Jeanette Black of Dakota City, Neb.; two sisters, Grace Peltier of Modesto, Calif, and Charlene
Patterson of Monroe, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church, Beloit. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Beloit. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Monday at McDonald-Roberts Funeral Home, 910 N. Campbell, Beloit 67420.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Education Fund or Solomon Valley Hospice. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
