William Sievert
William Sievert, 70, former commissioner, Menomonie parks, died Dec. 29 at his home in Menomonie. Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran church, the Rev. H. A. Pankow officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Sievert, a native of Menonomie, spent his entire life in this area. He worked at one time in an Eau Claire market before purchasing his own butcher shop in North Menomomie. He became commissioner of parks when he retired from business.
Mr. Stewart[Sievert] was active in the Dunn County Fish & Game association, in conservation and civic affairs. He is survived by two daughters and a son, all of Menomonie. There are also two brothers and four sisters.
*Note: Willian Sievert's daughter, he was the only one in his family who changed his name to Siefert.
