William Pacyna, age 102, of East Lansing, formerly of Bangor, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Whitehills Health Care Center, East Lansing. Mr. Pacyna was born November 18, 1904 in Chicago, the son of Frank and Mary (Dombrowski) Pacyna. He spent his early years in Poland and moved back to Chicago in 1920. On January 29, 1926, he married Bernice Galuski, who preceded him in death in 1998. They lived between Chicago and South Haven before moving to South Haven in the early 50's. They then moved to the Bangor area where he lived until 2003 when he moved to the Lansing area. He was a school bus driver for South Haven and Bangor Schools for many years. Surviving are 3 loving children, Chester (Mary) Pacyna of Lawrence, Celine (Michael) LePere of East Lansing, Daniel (Cheryl) Pacyna of Holt; 9 granddaughters; and 13 great grandchildren. The family will meet friends from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Bangor with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 AM with Fr. John Peter, celebrant.
