George married Mary Jane Biddle on 5 Jan 1870 in Corvallis, Benton, Oregon. They did not have any children. Mary divorced him in Nov 1879 in Lane County, Oregon. In about 1886 she married James L. Page.

OBIT:

The funeral of Dr. George W. Odell, a pioneer physician of Oregon, was held in the Methodist Church here (Dayton) Wednesday, December 28, 1921 at 10 AM. The body was laid to rest in the Odell Cemetery 4 miles south of Dayton.

He was born Carrell Co., Indiana, October 3, 1838 and came to Oregon with his parents (John and Sarah Odell) in 1851. The family located near this place where he spent his boyhood days. He was educated in Salem and San Francisco and began the practice of medicine in Lebanon in 1872.

He then located in Eugene where he followed his profession 7 years coming to Yamhill Co. in 1881 where he remained until 1908 when he moved to Portland and made his home with Prof. L. H. Baker at whose residence he died Christmas Day. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity. He was physician of marked ability possessing a personality which endeared him to many friends.
