Mark Samuel Spidle, 56, of Macon, MO, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013, at the University Medical Center in Columbia.

Mark was born on June 27, 1957, in Excelsior Springs, the son of Darrell and Beverly (Harbaugh) Spidle. He was united in marriage to Connie Brown on April 7, 1979, in Macon.

Mark is survived by his wife, Connie of Macon; one son, Samuel Spidle and his wife DeDe of Macon; two grandchildren, Dehanna and Jaylenne; two brothers, Paul Spidle and his wife Paula of Goreville, Il., Bennie Spidle of Macon; two sisters, Rebecca Jacobs and her husband Edwin of Haughton, LA, Lauretta Aitkins and Denny Brunner of St. Joseph; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mark was a member of the Church of God Holiness in Macon and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, looking at cars, visiting, and especially spending time with his family.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Bro. LeWaine Dysert officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Salem Cemetery, south of Excello. Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013, at the funeral home.

The family suggested memorials to the American Diabetes Foundation.
