Edward F. (Whitey) Wolbert, Jr., 51, of Snydersburg, died at 7:30 am Thursday, in St. Vincent Hospital, Erie.
Born on August 23, 1918 in Snydersburg, he was the son of Edward F. and Genevieve (Schupp) Wolbert. On October 18, 1941 he was united in marriage with the former Mary Baumcratz who survives.
For the past 14 years, Mr. Wolbert was employed at the Boise-Cascade Trailer Factory near Shippenville. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Mary) Bauer, Jr., Lucinda, Janet, Edith and Jule Wolbert of Snydersburg; his father Edward F. Wolbert, Sr.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Hepfl of Clarion Rd and Mrs. Nicholas Troese of Clarion; five brothers, Quinton and Regis of Snydersburg, Howard of Lucinda, Dennis of Redland,California, and Earl of Crown; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister and three brothers.
Friends may call anytime after 7 pm today in the Moore-Borland Funeral Home in Leeper. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm today and 2-4- and 7-9 pm Saturday and Sunday in the funeral home. A requiem funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 am Monday in St. Joseph Church in Lucinda with Rev. William Holl, pastor of the church, acting as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
