Mrs. H.W. Meyer's, 89, died at home in Manning March 14, 1957.
Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Meyers, 89, were held Monday with Rev. Carl Sinning of the Presbyterian church, and Dr. F.E. Hamlin of Denison, former pastor of the church, officiating.
Ray Pratt was soloist. W. Hagedorn was accompanist.
Pallbearers were Henry J.M. Hansen, John R. Hansen, Erwin Hansen, F.J. Zerwas, Don Irlmeier and Hans Tjaden. Honorary pallbearers were Douglas Rogers, Henry Boysen and Peter Huendling. Burial was in Manning Cemetery.
Mrs. Meyers died at her home in Manning Thursday afternoon.
Anna Magdalene Hansen, daughter of Peter F. and Ida Hansen, was born November 20, 1867, in Schestat, Germany. She came to America with her parents in 1881. She attended schools in Germany and was tutored in the United States. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Germany.
In 1888 she married Henry W. Meyers at Wheatland Township church, with Pastor Peter Huendling officiating. The couple lived on two farms northeast of Manning until they retired in 1913 and moved to Manning.
Mrs. Meyers is survived by the following children: H.E. Meyers of Manning, Alfred H. Meyers of Carroll, Marvin M. Meyers of Omaha, Mrs. Hilma M. Hoffmann of Huntington Park, CA., Mrs. R.B. (Florence) Kelsey of San Rafael, CA., Miss Tina Meyers, at home; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1941, and her parents and a daughter, Mrs. L.H. (Ida) Kleespies.
Mrs. Meyers attended the Presbyterian church; she was a member of the American Legion auxiliary, and a charter member of the Ladies Priscilla Society.
