Mrs. Mabel J. Fike, 78, formerly of 527 Haney Ave., died at 1:10 a.m. today in the Milton Home after a three-week illness. She was born on Oct. 22, 1887, in Marshall, Ind., and had resided in South Bend since 1910.
She was married on Aug. 24, 1910, in South Bend to Clarence C. Fike, who died in June, 1950. Her only survivors are a niece, Mrs. Bert Bennett, and three nephews, Philip Darcy and Lee and Richard Barkley, all of South Bend.
Friends may call from noon Friday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home. Mrs. Fike was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Women's Society of Christian Service, the Pythian Sisters and the Daughters of Union Veterans.
