Services for Robert Sharp Bean, 58, a prominent Moorpark rancher and member of the Ventura County Board of Education will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Griffin Brothers Camarillo Chapel with the Rev. Wallace O. Klandrud officiating.
Mr. Bean, of 8277 Stockton Road, Moorpark, died Saturday [November 11, 1974] in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Ventura County, born Jan. 7, 1916, in Santa Paula.
Before becoming a county board member, Mr. Bean was a member of the Moorpark High School and Somis Elementary School boards. He served on the board of directors of Coastal Growers Association and Paramount Citrus Association just before his illness.
A 1938 graduate of University of California at Los Angels, he was a member of Sigma Pi and Alpha Zeta fraternities. He was a member of the Saticoy Community Church and the Oxnard Elks Lodge and the Ventura County Farm Bureau. Mr. Bean was also a member of Las Posas Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Fauvette; a son, Robert E. of Moorpark, daughter, Mrs. Cheryl (Roger) Orr of Santa Paula; foster son, Patrick R. Henry of Macdoel, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial donations to a favorite charity.
