George B. Cooke, 80, died August 21, 1998, in Bozeman, Montana, following a lengthy illness. He was born August 3, 1918 in Ellensburg to Guy W. and Irene (Hartman) Cooke.
George graduated from Ellensburg High School and ranched in the Kittitas Valley until moving to Montana in the late 1940s where he was active with the Montana Cattlemen. He also was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his sisters, Marion C. Hayes of Kittitas, Eva C. Cooke of Sacramento, California, and Louise Palmerton and several nieces and nephews.
