OBIT:
Carl E. Cooke, 76, former Kittitas resident, died Sunday at Royal Vista Care Center. He was born in Vancouver on August 13, 1909 and first came to the Ellensburg area in 1910 with his parents, the late Edward and Ada Cooke.
He received his education in local schools and later was engaged as a plasterer in the Seattle and Portland areas, as well as in other states.
Following the death of his father in 1972, he returned to make his home in Kittitas near his mother. She preceded him in death in 1981.
He is survived by one brother, Rex Cooke of Klickitat; two sisters, Nina Bauer and Cleora Pickup, both of Ellensburg, and an aunt, Marjorie Gillis, of Kittitas.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday in Cotton Chapel. Pastor Bill Poole will officiate and cremation service will follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park, Yakima.
