Elizabeth T. Reed was born in Macoupin County, Ill., Oct. 18th, 1840, and died at her home in Narka, Kans., April 4th, 1909.
She was married to A.B. Peebles Nov. 14th, 1861 and to this union five children were born, three of whom preceded the mother to the other world.
The family moved to Nebraska in 1871 and to Kansas in 1883 and settled on a farm near Narka where they lived until moving to Narka eighteen years ago. Mr. Peebles died March 18th, 1907.
Mrs. Peebles was converted in childhood and united with the Baptist church and always lived a consistent christian life.
She leaves to mourn her loss, three brothers and one sister, a son, J.B. Peebles and a daughter, Mrs. Enola Moran and five grandchildren.
Funeral was held in the Methodist church conducted by the pastor, J.H. Craven, and interment made in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
