MARY JANE ANTHES - Following an illness of five weeks the death occurred this morning of Mary Jane Anthes at the residence of her daughter Mrs. George Burnison, 197 Sugarloaf St., Port Colborne. The deceased was the widow of the late Reuben Anthes who predeceased her about 46 years ago. She was in her 87th year. The late Mrs. Anthes had lived in Humberstone Township all her life and was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Port Colborne. The survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Burnison, two sons William and Burton Anthes of Port Colborne and seven grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 19 at 2 p.m. D.S.T. from the residence of her daughter Mrs. Burnison at 197 Sugarloaf Street with Rev. H. G. L. Baugh conducting the service. Interment will be in Overholt Cemetery.
