Mr. Carrl Britt Aaron, 92, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at his residence.

He was born in Bulloch County but lived in Jenkins County most of his life.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a retired mail carrier and farmer, a member and Deacon of the Elam Baptist Church where he was a member of the Merry Makers Senior Citizens Group, Sunday School Superintendent for many years, and member of the Adult Men's Sunday School Class. Mr. Aaron was also a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Milburne Aycock Aaron.

Funeral services will be at 11:00a.m. Friday at Elam Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Farmer and Dr. Maurice Crowder officiating. Burial will follow in the Elam Cemetery.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Jerry Henry of Millen; grandchildren, Melanie and Matthew Jenkins of Waynesboro, Brian Henry of New York, Renee, John Paul, Taylor and Anna Kate Hearn of Millen, and Eddie Taylor of Millen; great grandchild, Millie Kate Jenkins; Niece, Judy Taylor; special friend/caregiver, Brida Corley; and additional caregivers, Lottie Walker, Mirian Johnson, Priscilla Anderson and Reba Bennett.

Active pallbearers will be Brian Henry, Matthew Jenkins, Eddie Taylor, John Paul Hearn, Dobbie Gay, John Roy Clifton and Bobby Dailey.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Men's Adult Sunday School Class and Deacons of Elam Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Elam Baptist Church Building Fund, 5199 Elam Rd., Millen, GA 30442 or United Hospice of Swainsboro.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
