OBIT:
James Allen Carver, 68 year-old Kittitas Valley native son and a former Kittitas County Commissioner, died of a heart attack yesterday afternoon.
He suffered the heart attack while working on his automobile at the Broadview District ranch where he was born and here he had lived all his life. He was rushed to the Valley General Hospital, but was dead on arrival.
Widely known throughout the valley, Carver served as a member of the Board of County Commissioners from 1922 to 1926.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sylvia R. Carver, and four sisters: Mrs. Rose Grim, Clarkston; Mrs. Hattie Harris and Mrs. Sue Ferguson, both of Ellensburg and Nellie Williams, Pasco.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
