Ivory Burley "I.B." Jackson, 420 Spencer Street, Bristol, VA died Sunday October 3,2004 in Bristol Regional Medical Center.


He was a native of Washington County, VA son of the late Thomas J. and Amanda A. Hewitte Jackson. He was a retired self employeed Truck Driver with Goodpasture Motors and Bristol Metals.


He was a U.S. Navy veteran of Wlorld War II and was of the Methodist Faith.


He was preceeded in death by sisters, Ida Jackson, Buelah Goodson, Lucille Clark and Etta Mae Goodman.Brothers, Ritzie Jackson, Freeman Jackson and Rev Dan Jackson.


Survivor's include his wife of 50 years, Margaret DeBusk Jackson

Daughters, Margaret Brenda Brent and her husband William "Bill" Brent, Bluff City, TN. and

Terri Michaelle Jackson, Bristol, VA.

Son, Mike Jackson and his wife Cathy Jackson, Palm Bay, FL.

Grandchildren, Maggie Jackson, Danielle Jackson and Ian Jackson.


Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.


The family sends a special thanks to Fredia and Betty.


Funeral services will be conducted 2 P.M. Wednesday in Jackson Family Cemetery with Rev. Don Umbarger officiaiting, assisted by Rev. Scott Ketron. Military Honors will be conducted by D.A.V. Chapter 40. Casket bearers, Mark DeBusk, Bobby Joe Jackson, Paul Allen Jackson, Tommy Lee Jackson, Shane Malone, Jeff Nester and Tim Woodard.


The family will receive friends in Weaver Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday and other times at 611 Park Street, Bristol, VA.
