Jack left the mountains that he so dearly loved, on September 15, 2013
He left behind his wife of 58 years, Marian P. Wilcox (Betsy). His three children, Jackie a Wilcox Jr., his wife Karen of Tampa, Florida, Thomas L. Wilcox and his wife Cindy of Oldsmar Florida, His daughter Susan W. Wagner and her husband David of Tampa Florida; His daughter-in-law Debbie Wilcox the wife of his deceased son Brian C. Wilcox; Eight grandchildren, Sara Wilcox, Jackie A. Wilcox, the third, Lindsay Wilcox, Matthew Wilcox, Alex Wilcox, Nicholas Wilcox, Megan Wagner and Josh Wagner; One great-grandchild, Dominick Wilcox, all living in the state of Florida. Three sisters; Aline Labrake, Carolyn Thompson, and Babette Ledwith; Numerous nephews and nieces.
Jack attended the Lake Placid high school. He went to Clearwater Florida, started his own business 1964 which is now managed by his eldest son Jackie and daughter Susan. He returned the mountains in 1982. His retirement years were restoring the camp he bought and called Sunnyside Nytis on the West Shore of Lake Placid Lake. In 1987 he built the camp in upper Jay New York. This was his dream camp,, and after leaving the lake, his dream came true. He spent the next 10 years building his dream "One board at a time". His dream is completed now, so he has moved on, but he will always remain in the mountains he loves so dearly.
