Ola Mae Byrd, 85, formerly of Coloma, passed away early Sunday, December 05, 2010, in Searcy, Arkansas.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 10, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service, 249 E. Center Street, in Coloma, with Pastor Scott Saylor officiating. Burial will follow at Coloma Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00, Thursday evening, at the funeral home.
Ola was born on December 15, 1924, in Osceola, Arkansas, to James and Lois Cooper. On October 11, 1940, she married John Evan Byrd. Ola Mae was very active in the Watervliet General Baptist Church as well as the House of Prayer Church in Kensett, Arkansas.
Ola is survived by her children, Mary (James), Brenda, Donald (Janice), Ronald, Mickey, Rick, and Raymond (Natalie); and by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ola was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Byrd of 63 years.
