Samuel Gordon Watkins
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, in Mt. Union Cemetery in Philomath for Samuel Gordon Watkins, who died Aug. 28 at age 87.
Mr. Watkins was born May 6, 1918, in Philomath. During World War II, he served in the Army in Europe. He was a corrections officer for the Oregon State Penitentiary, owned and drove a log truck and was a sawmill worker for Willamette Industries. He lived in Forest Grove.
Survivors include his sons, Paul G. and Ralph J.; and two grandchildren.
