Jenner's brother dies in auto crash.

CANTON, Conn. (AP) Olympic decathlon gold medal winner Bruce Jenner's 18-year-old brother and a companion died Tuesday in a single car accident Tuesday, police said.

Authorities said Harold Burton Jenner, known as Burt, died at Hartford Hospital following the 9:51 a. m. crash.

Police stated the car went off Old Canton Road and struck a utility pole. The other victim was identified as Judith A. Hutchings, also of Canton. She and Burt Jenner were the only occupant of the car.

Miss Hutchings died at Dempsey Memorial Hospital, a spokesman there said. Burt Jenner was transferred from Dempsey to Hartford Hospital but died later in the day police said.

The cause of the accident was not known but an investigation was continuing.
