COMBES, TX.- Margarita "Margie" O. Acuna 64, of Combes went to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Valley Baptist Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born November 14, 1948 to Celestina Sr. and Maria Oviedo.

She is survived by her loving husband Jim Acuna; 2 sons, Robert "Bobby" L. Stillman (Veronica) of Harlingen and Danny Acuna of Laredo; 2 step-sons, Shawn (Nathalia) Acuna of Apache Junction, AZ and James (Cristi) Acuna of Bonney Lake, WA; grandchildren, Carry Jo Acuna of South Lake Tahoe, CA and Abbey Mae Acuna of Bonney Lake, WA and Nolan John Acuna of Bonney Lake, WA. Margie is also survived by her sisters, Angie O. (George) Villarreal of Edcouch, Yolanda O. (Beto) Rickford of Sebastian, Rachel O. (Julian) Rodriguez of Santa Rosa, Dora O. (Domingo) of Los Fresnos, Rosalinda Oviedo (Edward Mendez) of Sebastian and her brothers, Celestino (Himelda) Oviedo, Jr. of Harlingen, Tomas (Bertha) Oviedo of Carollton, Ray Oviedo of Sebastian, Abel (Martha) Oviedo of Sebastian and Ernest (Lori) Oviedo of Austin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margie was a Secretary Dispatcher for Joe Vela Trucking and Transport Co., Mission Petroleum Carriers and Wright Petroleum Carriers from 1978-2008.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 10am to 9pm and a holy rosary will be at 7pm at the Rudy Garza Chapel of Peace. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, September 13 departing the Rudy Garza Chapel at 1:15 for a 2pm mass at St. Martin Catholic Church and interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Stillman, Danny Acuna, Abel Oviedo, Tomas Oviedo, Ernesto Oviedo, Celestino Oviedo, Jr. and honorary pallbearers will be Rey Oviedo, Domingo Rangel, Edward Mendez, Julian Rodriguez and George Villarreal.

Funeral services are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home of Harlingen.
