Lillian Mary Rose, 88, of Paso Robles died peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2011.

She was born Lillian Mary Tanner on May 2, 1923 in Okemah, Okla. Lillian married Everett Doyle Rose in 1941 and they made their home in Paso Robles. Lillian worked for J.C. Penney and Dauth Leisey grocery store. She also worked as a bookkeeper at Doyle Rose Chevron, a local business the family owned and operated for more than 50 years on Spring Street in Paso Robles.

Lillian loved country western music and the couple traveled to Branson, Mo. to see as many shows as they could. They also traveled extensively with their friends and Lillian always enjoyed having lunch with her girlfriends at the Touch of Paso restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Doyle Rose; two granddaughters, Deborah Rose Malone and Jessica Rose; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Rose, and her son, James Doyle Rose.

Lillian is survived by her son, Mitchell Dean Rose (Geri) of San Luis Obispo; grandchildren, Mitchell Dean Rose Jr. of Austin, Texas, Billy Rose of Tuscon, Ariz., Justin Rose of Jacksonville, Fla., and Tracy Rose of Surprise, Ariz.

Per Lillianís request, there will be no services. Donations may be made on her behalf to the Womanís Shelter, P.O. Box 125, San Luis Obispo, CA, 93401.
