She died at the age of 93 and was a resident of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She passed away at Saint Anne's Providence Court on June 10, 2011. She was called to Eternal Life to golf on heavenly golf courses. Anna graduated from Stambaugh High School in 1935, then, moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to attend beauty school and subsequently owned LaVere Beauty Shop for 39 years. Anna enjoyed her retirement golfing and playing cards at Hansen Park with the "gals". She was the beloved wife of John Bolka, whom preceded her in death. She was legal guardian of Bruce, Scott (Pamela) and David (Christine) Girga. Survivors include special nephew Leonard (Jake) Wurzer, grandchildren Kevin, Richard and Samantha "Sam" Girga, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the Providence Court staff and hospice nurses Karly and Maria for their kindness and care. Visitation occurred on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Mother of God Good Counsel Catholic Church, 6924 W. Lisbon Ave., from 10AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial occurred at 11AM. Interment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery.
