Maria was in a car with her three siblings in the back seat when they were struck by a driver. Maria died within an hour of the crash while her sister Diana and her brother Jesus died at Cook Children's. Her other sister Maria de Jesus, was in critical condition - at the time of writing this, I am unsure of what condition she is in.
