(ROANOKE) Services for Hattie Mae Cameron, 77, of Roanoke were Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, Wadley, with the Rev. Calvin Trammell, pastor, the Rev. Elijah Jackson Jr. and the Rev. R. L. Heflin officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Ms. Cameron died Monday, Dec. 23, at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika.
Ms. Cameron was born Sept. 7, 1925 in Roanoke to the late Frank and Ionie Strickland
Goss. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in the Broughton community, where she was an active member until recent years. Ms. Cameron was preceded in death on March 20, 1999 by her husband of 53 years, Scott Cameron; a son, Joseph Scott Cameron; a daughter, Mary Sue Cameron; and a sister, Minnie Lou Goss. Ms. Cameron succumbed after a lengthy struggle with declining health.
Survivors include a daughter, Rose Cameron of Roanoke Annie Bradshaw of Newnan, Ga., a step-daughter. four sons, Gordon David Cameron of Dothan and Frankie Lee Cameron, Charles Cameron and Mose Oliver Cameron of Roanoke; five daughters,
Ms. Annie Mae Bradshaw of Newnan, Ga., Mrs. Ida Bell and Mrs. Patricia Brown of Roanoke, Mrs. Sandra Jean Williams of Columbus, Ga., and Mrs. Lennie Faye Heard of Wadley; 28 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Clark Memorial Funeral Services, Roanoke.
