He was a native of Gwinnett County and had lived most of his life in Hall and Jackson counties. He was a son of the late Abraham Lincoln and Leola Majors Satterfield. He was a member of Talmo Baptist Church and a retired welder. He was preceded in death by his wives, Clara Nell Hooper Satterfield and Mary Daily Satterfield; and sons, Kenneth Satterfield, Curtis Satterfield and Mitchell Satterfield.
Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Whitlock, Jefferson, and Linda Albertson and Carol Holman, both of Gainesville; sons, Harold L. Satterfield Jr., Cleveland, and Sam Satterfield, Pendergrass; stepsons, Don T. Samples, Maysville, and Kenneth Samples, Gulfport, Miss.; sisters, Estelle Cooper, Chestnut Mountain, and Jeannie Steel, Riverdale; brothers, Charles Satterfield, Jefferson, and Walter Satterfield, Pendergrass; and 23 grandchildren.
Burial will be in Harmony Hall Baptist Church Cemetery.
