She passed away at her home last Wednesday evening about 7:30 p.m. after a lingering illness.
Ragnhild Esperum was born in 1896 in Brandbu, Hadeland, Norway. In June, 1904 she came to the United States with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Esperum, who took up residence in Gladstone Township.
On June 14, 1919, she was united in marriage to Edwin Anderson. To this union four children were born: Oscar, of LaMoure; Berniece (Mrs. Gerald Thomas) of Seattle Washington; Ruth and Mildred, both at home.
Preceding her in death were a brother, Olaf, who passed away in Norway, a sister who died in infancy in 1910, and another sister, Martha, who passed away in 1943. Besides her husband and children, she leaves her parents, two sisters, Anna (Mrs. Ole Torgerson), Olave (Mrs. Sig Sandness) and three brothers, George, Hugo and Louis, also six grandsons.
Mrs. Anderson was an active member of the High Prairie Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid, taking interest in their varied activities.
