OBITUARY-
Mary Shaman, age 98, formerly of Austin and long-time resident of Long Beach, Calif. died Saturday, February 5, 2000 at Long Beach Community Hospital in Long Beach, Calif.

She was born July 16, 1901 in Belgian, France. She married Luis Overfelt November 8, 1920 in Waereghem, Belgian, France. They came to the United States in 1922 to work in Nebraska. They were married for 39 years until his death in 1959.
On February 1, 1967, she married Harold Shaman at Las Vegas, Nevada. They resided in Long Beach, Calif. where she was a homemaker.
Her hobbies were crocheting, embroidering, walking the dog, spending time at the beach and traveling.

Survivors include her husband, Harold of Long Beach, Calif.; daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine Feuerhak of Austin; Bernice and William Schulz of Osage, Iowa; step-daughter and husband, Nora and Duane Mattick of Lyle; step-son and wife, Harold "Joe" and Kaye Shaman of Concord, Calif.; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Overfelt; one brother and her parents.

Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2000, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with the Rev. Paul Nelson officiating.
Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2000, and one hour before services Saturday.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery
