Marabeth Nelle (Zilmer) Esperes, age 91, of Nekoosa, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013.

She was born on Aug. 10, 1922 in Madison, the daughter of Roy Albert and Nelle Elizabeth (Baumgartner) Zilmer. She married John W. Esperes on June 21, 1943 in Brady, TX. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1994.

Marabeth belonged to many clubs, organizations, and charities and had many friends.

She is survived by one daughter: Cynthia Claytonroberts; one son: John Robert (Peggy) Esperes; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters: Jackie (Paul) Shreck and Maxine (Jack) Peacock; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert (Lona) Zilmer.

Private family services were held.

The Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma assisted the family with the arrangements.
