Gerry, Oct. 21 – The sudden and untimely death of Russell Garfield, of Ellington, occurred at the home of his parents, James R. and Elizabeth L. Garfield of Ellington, from the dreaded disease which is sweeping over the country and taking such a heavy toll. Russell Garfield was born in Warren, Pa. 16 years ago and came to Frewsburg where he lived six years and then went to Ellington where he has been about four years and a half. He was of the most bright and sunny disposition, well liked by all of his associates in school and out. His going leaves a place in the memory of his relatives and friends that can never be filled.
The funeral was private from his father’s home, the burial being at Frewsburg, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m.
