Norma Jean Keeling, 84 of Portland, Tn., passed Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Keeling was born on July 23, 1939 in West Helena, Arkansas to the late Floyd Jenkins and Velma McGinnis Jenkins.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Keeling was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Keeling; son, Randy Dale Shumway; and her brothers, Howard Jenkins and Harold Jenkins.

Mrs. Keeling is survived by her son, Delwayne "Allen" (Elizabeth) Crawford of Portland; daughters, Diane "Sissy" (Joe) Cribb of Portland, Dawn (Tim) Allgood of Springfiel and Darlene "Kenny" Best of Nashville; grandchildren, Kellie Crawford Porter, Dayrel Crawford, Brandon Rice, Dashanna Eyrich, Samuel Allgood, Jennifer Taylor Skelton; great grandchildren, Brody Crawford, Blaine Porter, Cohen Crawford, Eithan Rice, Ani Rice, Dylan Rice, Wyatt Hicks, Zayden Riley, Nicholas Eyrich, Zoey Riley, Emma Taylor and Grayson Skelton.

Mrs. Keeling was a realtor for many years in Hendersonville, Tn., where she became a member of the Million Dollar Sales Club in the 1970's. She was the General Manager at Twitty City until it closed in 1994.

Her and Lawrence loved Dale Hollow Lake where they owned several houseboats, the loved fishing and having all their friends and family to share the fun. Years ago, she took up painting classes and thoroughly loved painting. She will be greatly missed but it was time to go celebrate with her family that's already gone home to our heavenly Father.

Funeral service for Mrs. Keeling will be on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 12:00 noon with Bro. Donald Taylor officiating with visitation on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon funeral time.

Following the service interment will be in Old Brush Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dayrel Crawford, Brandon Rice, Josh Eyrich, Brody Crawford, Samuel Allgood, and Matt Keeling with Danny Gann and Jerry Newman serving as honorary pallbearers.
