Born in Divernon, the daughter of Joseph and Theresa Abel Molohon she was a life-long Sangamon County resident.
She married Ellis A. Schmidt in 1944.
Mrs. Schmidt was a member of the St. John Vianney Church and altar society of Sherman and the Williamsville Community Club.
Surviving are her husband, Ellis A. three sons, Joseph W. and Michael E., both of Williamsville and John L. of Sherman, four sisters, Mrs Bernard (Rita) Bancroft and Mrs. Roger (Rosemary) Dixon, both of Auburn, Mrs. Harold (Regina) Quinn of Woodridge and Mrs. Richard (Jo Ann) Kirchgesner of Springfield, on granddaughter and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be Friday at St John Vianney Church in Sherman with burial in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Time later Staab Funeral HOme is in charge of arrangements.
