Thomas Everett "T.E." Lofton, age 81 and a resident of Vancleave, died on Friday, August 16, 2013, in Gautier.
Mr. Lofton was born on February 17, 1932, in Meridian. He retired from the Mississippi Power Company. T.E. enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling in his RV, spending time with his family, telling jokes, and making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Jeane Lofton; his parents, Vester and Ruth Lofton; his brother, Jack Lofton and his sister, Nan Simpson.
Mr. Lofton is survived by his daughter, Teresa (John) Carter; his granddaughter, Amanda (Terrel) Anderson; his great grandchildren, Tristen and Brayden Anderson; his nephews, Larry Simpson and Sammy Simpson, and his nieces, Lisa Nye and Beth Davis.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 11:00am at Vancleave Cemetery #1 on Jim Ramsay Road in Vancleave.
