Lucy was born in Guadalajara, Mexico on September 17, 1975 to Santos and Avelina Bogarin. Her family moved to Los Angeles, California when she was a small child where she was raised and educated. In 1992 at the age of 17 she moved to Tulare, California and graduated from Western High School in 1993. Lucy graduated from San Joaquin Valley College in 1994 and began working at Kaweah Delta District Hospital full time as a Registrar in Patient Access for 18 years. On March 21, 2011 she married Roy Coffelt in Fresno, California and they have made their home in Tulare. Lucy enjoyed traveling, reading, baking and watching movies. She served as Team Caption for the "I Love Lucy" Relay For Life team for several years. Most of all Lucy loved spending time with her family and her two daughters, Jasmine and J-Star. She was a happy bubbly lady and was very outgoing. Lucy had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. She was always looking her best no matter the situation and loved to wear red lipstick. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Lucy leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Roy of Tulare; two loving daughters, Jasmyn Moon and J-Star Holdridge, both of Tulare; her father Santos Bogarin of Las Vegas, NV; her mother, Avelina Bogarin of Tulare; three brothers, Jose Luis Bogarin of Lubock, TX, Jaime Bogarin of Las Vegas, NV and Santos Bogarin, Jr of Tulare; four sisters, Mariaelena Bogarin of Mexico, Leticia Bogarin of Las Vegas, NV, Lilia Rodriguez Bogarin of Tulare and Jamie Bogarin of Tulare, and many extended family members and friends.
