Winney, Elmer Ellsworth - Final rites for Elmer Ellsworth Winney at 412 Philippine Street, Taft will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Taft Masonic Temple with burial in West Side Cemetery. A resident on the West Side since 1903, Winney died in his home December 22. He was born in Manning, Iowa, June 17, 1885. He had been manager of the King Lumber Co. for many years. Liberates Lodge No. 466 F&AM of which Winney was a long time member, will conduct services with Morris R. Watson, worshipful master officiating. He is survived by his widow, Margaret; two sisters, Flossie Whipp of Nevada City and Hazel Chapman of Reno; and two brothers, Claude of Nevada City and Alonzo serving with the armed forces.
