Cleve was born to James Daniel Rogers and Marjorie Parker Rogers. One of his brothers was James Daniel Rogers Jr.(11/22/1874-1/13/1948). He married Vassie Dubose(8/25/1889-9/6/1955) and had the following children;

Madeline Astor Rogers Wester

Ilene Ozie Rogers Brazile

Edith Alease Rogers Chandler/Zucklavich/Cawthon

Ferrin Daniel Rogers

Kary Cleveland Rogers

He worked in the saw mill business as a younger man and drove a wagon delivering for a time in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
He had some Indian blood and was thought to be part Cherokee or Creek Indian. Maybe as much as 1/4 or 1/8. It was not talked about in his time and his exact Indian heritage remains unknown.
He died in his house, in the bathroom, in 1940, in Defuniak Springs, Fla.
