Mr. Lester L. (Barney) Oswald, 78,
of Smithsburg, Md., died at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md.
Born in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of the late Lee A. and Ethel N. (Harbaugh) Oswald.
He retired from Fairchild Industries after 26 years of service.
Mr. Oswald was a member of the Methodist denomination.
He is survived by his wife Meda C. (Kuhn) Oswald; one daughter, Jane L. Kline of Smithsburg, Md.; two sons, George N. Oswald, of Cavetown, Md., and Lester E.Oswald of Smithsburg, Md.; one brother Bill Oswald of Smithsburg, Md.
Services from Davis Funeral Home of Smithsburg, Md., will be held Thursday September 15, 1983 at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Edward E. Heydt will officiate. Burial at Smithsburg Cemetery.
