Born in Bloomington, he was the son of Alexander and Joyce Cletis (Taylor) Arnold.
He had been a machine operator for Kroger Bakery in Indianapolis for 38 years, retiring in 1994. Prior to that he had worked at L.S. Ayres. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1 in Indianapolis, and had served in the U.S. Army.
He married Nancy on March 31, 1958. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons and a daughter; five grandsons; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Virgil Orbin Arnold, and sister Betty Rose Dyer.
Servies will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Martinsville, with Bishop Larry Briles officiating. Burial will be in Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery, Martinsville.
