Martha Delores Perdue, age 65, of Hot Springs, won her battle with colon cancer at 7:02 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2013.

She was born on July 26, 1948, at Orlinda, Tennessee, the daughter of Oscar Lee Dorris and Sylvia Catherine Long Dorris. On November 15, 1988, she was married to Harvey Perdue.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother-in-law, Jimmy Walker.

She was a member of the Cowboy Church of Hot Springs and worked at Acme Boot for 18 years and upon marriage became a fulltime housewife.

Mrs. Perdue was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a pastor's wife and loved all of her Cowboy Church family dearly. Mrs. Perdue loved to collect John Deere memorabilia and watch John Wayne movies in her spare time. Her pride and joy was her daughter, Jenny Jo. She proudly invested her whole self into her family. When Mrs. Perdue was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2009, Jenny Jo and her father, Harvey Perdue, invested all of their time into Mrs. Perdue's care. In 2011, meningitis left Mrs. Perdue with the mind of a little girl that was nicknamed "Maggie May". Maggie May loved to have fun with Quacker, her stuffed duckie.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Perdue of Hot Springs; two daughters, Jenny Jo Perdue and her fiancé, Michael Mueller, of Hot Springs and Tessa Duncan and her husband, Thomas, of La Vergne, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Brandon Webb and Riley Duncan, both of La Vergne, Tennessee; one brother and sister-in-law, R.
