Tichacek, Harry J. Our beloved uncle and friend passed away on Tues., Aug. 13, 2013. Harry was a private yet noble man. He taught us much. Born Nov. 4, 1932, Harry attended St. Pius V. Elementary School, St. Mary's High School, enlisted in the Air Force, and returned to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree at Washington University. He lived with and later cared for his parents, Harry F. Tichacek (dec.) and Genevieve S. Tichacek (dec.) and worked at the National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis. He loved analysis and debate. He is preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine F. Phillips (Edward, dec.). He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Dianne Phillips, Daniel Phillips (Ginny), Timothy Phillips (Mary), Father Christopher Phillips (Irene), Karen Gleeson (Mark), Joseph Phillips (Sue), Stephen Phillips, Constance Niemoeller (Paul), Barbara Phillips (Robert), and James Phillips (Kathy). We will miss him. Services: A simple graveside service will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, St. Louis, on Sat., Aug. 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. A celebration of his life will follow.
