Graveside services for Mr. James H. Stewart, age 83, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 11, 2013, in the Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA, with Bro. Jasson Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 12:00 pm until 1:45 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Stewart was born on November 11, 1929 to Harl and Oma Kennedy Stewart in Prescott, AR and passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2013 in Springhill. He was a member of Blocker Baptist Church, worked for International Paper company for 33 years, and retired from Bear Island Paper Mill in Virginia. He loved to read and write poetry.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lottie D. Johnson Stewart; daughter, Clarissa Powell and husband, Eddie of Taylor, AR; sons, John Stewart and wife, Dorothy, Andy Stewart and wife, Phyllis both of Springhill, LA; ten grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by father, Harl Stewart; mother, Oma Kennedy Stewart Waddle; and sister, Maurina Stewart.
