Chasity Rae Owen-Amos, (Hinhan Gestina Win) Little Owl Woman, 22, of Watertown, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, from injuries received in an MVA near Watertown.

Funeral services were today (Tuesday, Aug. 6) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tribal Community Center, Agency Village. The Rev. Clifford Chanku, Ron Cook and Arnold Williams officiated. The drum was provided by the Cook family. Pallbearers were Cole German, Kennedy Owen, Jason Amos, Sterlig Owen, Dallas Owen and Paul German.

Honorary pallbearer was her daughter, Jade Annamarie Greybuffalo.

Interment was in the Ascension Presbyterian Cemetery, Big Coulee.

All night wakes were Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Aug. 3, 4, and 5 at the Tribal Community Center, Agency Village.
The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton was in charge of arrangements.

Chasity Rae Owen-Amos, (Hinhan Gestina Win), Little Owl Woman, was born on March 15, 1991, at Watertown to Lauren Owen and Jason Amos. She grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota, which she loved, Hazel and Watertown. While in high school, she was involved in band, cheerleading, volleyball, ice skating and softball. She also played the alto-saxophone. She graduated from Watertown High School in 2009. She was currently attending Lake Area Technical Institute for cosmetology.

Chasity loved life; she was always cheerful and happy. Her family was the most important aspect of her life and she loved her daughter Jade immensely. In her spare time, she loved writing, journaling and modeling. Chasity passed away on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident near Watertown.

Chasity is survived by her daughter, Jade Annamarie Greybuffalo of Watertown; her mother, Lauren Owen of Peever; stepfather, Paul German of Sioux Falls; her father, Jason Amos of Sioux Falls; two brothers, Cole and Connor German of Sioux Falls; five sisters, Christina German of Sioux Falls, Tanna Amos of Chester and Asiah, Natali and Sienna Amos, all of Sioux Falls; niece, Sophie German of Estelline; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chasity was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles King and maternal stepgrandfather, William Gross.
