Jess Burgess, who lived here for many years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fay Anderson, in San Antonio last Wednesday and his remains were brought here for burial. Graveside funeral services were conducted by Rev. Don Hendricks, Baptist Pastor of San Saba, at the Hanna cemetery.
Deceased is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Fern Carlson of Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Bessie [Harvey] of New Mexico; Mrs. Fay Anderson and Miss Pearl Burgess of San Antonio; Mrs. Clive Calley of Llano; two sons, Sid Burgess of Toyah and Sherman Burgess of Cherokee.
