Tommy Lee Boerner, 33 of Midland, died August 2, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on August 24, 2013 at the Stone-gate Fellowship Church. Tommy was born February 5, 1980 in Denton County to Gerald Boerner and Barbara McFarlane. He attended Slidell High School, where he was involved in track, basketball and FFA, winning serveral first-place ribbons for showmanship of livestock. He graduated as salutatorian and went on to earn his associates degree from Midland College. He enjoyed coed softball, hunting, outfitting and charity hunts for children. He married Vanessa Cody Octobe 6, 2007. Tommy is survived by his wife, Vanessa Boerner of Midland; parents Gerald and Debbie Boerner of Pilot Point; and Tom and Barbara McFaralane of Decatur; sisters Christy and Halee Boerner of Piolot Point, Ashley Norton of Dallas, Amber Samples of Coppell and April Norton of Pilot Point; brothers Joey Boerner and wife Jessica, of Krugerville, Thor McFarlane and wife Ashley of Hurst, Shawn McFarlane of Decatur and Douglas Gammill of Denton; grandparents, Jerry and MaryAnn Pels, Sharon and Gary McFarlane and Helen Taylor; great-grandmother Pearl Cox; parents-in-law Tony and Gloria Cody; brother-in-law Nathan Cody and wife, Lety; three nephews; six nieces; and other extended family members.
