Gunther Guy "Gunner" Ames, newborn, died at 12:35 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, at the University of Iowa Hospitals.
Gunner was born at 8:14 p.m. April 13, at the University of Iowa Hospitals, the son of Nate and Lacy Horner Ames.
Survivors include his parents of Keokuk; his twin sister, Natalie Jean Ames; grandparents, Doug & Dinette Horner of Argyle; Milton and Ruth Ann Ames of Revere, Mo.; great grandparents, Larry & Bonnie Horner of Argyle, Percy "Pooch" Ames of Keokuk, Ron and Fran Howlett of Omaha, Neb.; and Lucene Kramer of Franklin; great-great grandfather, Kenneth Horner of Keokuk and numberous aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, great grandmother and his great grandfather.

Private famiy graveside services will be held at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in rural Keokuk.

Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk is in charge of arrangements.
