Funeral service for Bobby H. Banks 71, of Opelika is Friday September 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Burial is in Garden Hills Cemetery. Minister Claude Flynn is officiating. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Mr. Banks, who died Tuesday September 18, 2007 at Vista Care in Columbus, GA, was born April 4, 1936 in Tallapoosa County, AL. Mr. Banks had lived most of his life in Opelika. He was a retired Liberty National Life Insurance Agent with 25 years of service, and a member of the 10th Street Church of Christ. Mr. Banks was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy G. Banks, and his parents, Oncsee Stewart and Herman Eugene Banks. He is survived by daughter Danya S. Banks of Montgomery, two sons Robert E. Banks (Elaine) of Sylacauga, Russell A. Banks (Grace) of Opelika, one sister Phyllis Gillies (John) of Hartselle, one brother Wenford Banks (Gail) of Macon, GA. five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
