Obit from Clinton Journal and Public,Clinton, ILL. Jan. 16, 1977:
MRS. MONKMAN DIED SUNDAY. Mrs. Eileen Monkman 58, of 219 N. East St., Clinton was dead on arrival at Dr. John Warner Hospital. Her funeral will be at l:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Pullen-Boos Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Jerry Painter officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel.

She was born March 29, 1918 in Clinton (ILL), a daughter of Zay and Cora Crews Whitehouse. She married Reuben Monkman in June 1935 in Clinton. He survives.

Also surviving are four sons: Richard, Indianapolis, Ind., and Charles, Ronald and Reuben 'Butch', all of Clinton; three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Harris, New Washington, Ind; Mrs. Sheron Champbell, Clinton and Mrs. Beverly Huffman, Midland City; two brothers, Arthur, Midland City, and Richard, Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Mary LeBeau, Decatur, and 18 grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Since I did not create the memorial I cannot 'tie the children into the parents, therefore I will list their children and their memorial number: Sons - Charles Robert, Memorial #23252184 and Ronald Dean, memorial #62785382 both
buried in Memorial Park (together with the Woodlawn Cem.)
