Gertrude Traudel Adams age 88 of Metamora, Illinois born on August 17, 1924, passed into God?s glory on Sunday, July 28, 2013.



 She was the faithful wife of H.C. who preceded her in death in 1997. They loved their three sons Homer Charles of Dallas, TX, Albert Steve of Seattle, WA and Marcus Frederick of Metamora, IL. 



Born in Germany, Gertrude was a member of the German-American Society. She married her husband in 1948 in Germany while interpreting for the U.S. Army.



 She retired from the engineering department at Caterpillar after 38 years. 



Gertrude leaves behind her three sons, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.



We love you Mom, Oma, and will see you in glory! ALL who believe in Jesus will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Jesus will never die.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00am Wednesday July 31, 2013 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington, IL., with Rev. Tom Heren officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am until service time at the church. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church.
